Manuel's Parking Lot

The stench of stale alcohol and cigarettes, the haze of the early morning hours, evenings of decadence, and the glorious pain of the hanging morning, these were the conditions of the living room of the vermin-infested San Francisco apartment that served as the tender womb from which Manuel's Parking Lot was born. Alex Musto and Jake Sinetos came together under a mutual appreciation of humorous pop music, an impressive ability to drink and stay up late, profoundly poor musical chops, and the shared experience of having grandmothers stolen. They set out to teach the world the woes of geriatric thievery, proper ways to make words plural, and, of course, how to make spaghetti sauce. Over the course of a year and a half, and atop a glorious pile of recycling, Manuel's Parking Lot met and constructed their debut album: They Paved Paradise and Put up Manuel's Parking Lot.
